Museum night

Project Museum night

For the Design Skills course, I designed two A4 posters for Museum Night in Ghent. Both posters contain the same information but are based on different principles of visual hierarchy. The aim of this assignment was to investigate how typography, color, contrast, and composition can direct the reader’s attention and determine the reading order. By consciously experimenting with these graphic elements, I discovered how small decisions can have a big effect on the way information is perceived.

The result is two posters with their own character, rhythm, and atmosphere, each bringing the energy and dynamism of Ghent Museum Night to life in a unique way. This exercise helped me to further deepen my understanding of layout design and the communicative power of design.
