Point—Line—Plane

Project line-point-plane

During the Design Skills course, we were given the assignment to translate an existing photo into a composition made up solely of points, lines, and planes. It was important not to draw what we saw, but to abstract the shapes and merge them into a new visual interpretation.

By playing with simplification, rhythm, and contrast, I explored how these basic shapes can form a strong visual language when combined. The original recognizability fades, but the dynamics and atmosphere of the image remain palpable.

This exercise taught me to look more consciously at structure, proportion, and composition. With minimal means, a new, powerful image emerges that lets go of reality yet retains its essence.
